A long day of cruising today to make the run into Wrangell. Through Narrows and against current. Its a beautiful sunny, flat cruising day and we arrive in Wrangell around 2:30 ish. We would have been earlier but it appears that we thought that we left George the Cat in Meyers Chuck. With heavy heart and a bag of kitty treats, Betty borrows the whaler from "On the Edge" and makes her way back to Meyers Chuck to find the cat. I didn't hold out much hope that we were going to find little George, but it was worth a try.... After crawling in and out all of the boats on the dock for about 20 minutes, I get a radio call from Mike saying he found the cat sleeping comfortably on the chair on the bridge! The only place we didn't look! Releived, I head back to the boats who are just drifting in Union Bay with a few lines in the water. From now on, better Lockdown procedures for George!

Wrangell is a quaint town with very little industry due to logging slowdowns and no cruise ship business to speak of. A few taverns, couple of hardware/marine stores and a couple of grocery/Liquor stores.
