We took the 50 mile jaunt from Fiordland down Mathieson Channel to Shearwater on the third day so that I could get the laundry done, re-stock the boat with perishables and on the 29th, I flew down to Vancouver for an overnight trip to do some work. I was thrilled not to have to stay in the city any more than one night and came back to Shearwater with a new Dinghy prop and new lightbulbs for the searchlight. I also came back to some great stories of Mike and his new found friends in the pub.
Mike ran into Carl and Mike - the extreme adventurers we met in Butedale - in the pub that night and invited them to stay on the boat while I was away. When they picked me up in Bella Bella, the two boys hopped off and were on their way to catch the ferry to Prince Rupert. They had a truly great adventure and are no doubt planning their next one!
There is no water to be had in Bella Bella and the water at Shearwater is the "Tea" water, so we after Mike picked me up in Bella Bella, we headed over to Ocean Falls. Twofold - to fill up with water and see what was new or not so new.
