"Curious George"
Our excitement in leaving Vancouver is mounting. Food, Liquor and missing boat inventory items are being replaced and stowed. A major obstacle has just come to mind, "George's Potty"! Last year we did our trip sans cat, this year we have a 7 month addition to worry about and are challenged to make sure we see to his every needs. He not only eats a lot of kitty food, but what goes in must come out. By my calculations, I will need 12 bags of kitty litter......thats a lot of sand to be packing around! The other worry is that our little feline addition is a wanderer and a swimmer.......he has managed to wander away for extended periods of time at least 6 times and has fallen (or jumped) into the water 4 times. So anyone seeing a white and orange teenage cat upcoast this summer, please be sure to drop us line!
We have had fabulous late spring weather this year and are hoping this is a sign of what we will encounter upcoast this year. The only problem with the heat is that it creates fog upcoast, which then limits visibilty for seeing things and creates a bit of anxiety for the author as the cruise ships and ferries are still running as always and we are but a mere blip on their radar!
We have not made any formal plans to travel with anyone this year but will meet up with many of our boating friends along the way.
Until next week when our 2009 voyage begins.
