Overcast morning with a bit of wind, but nothing crazy. We head from Fury Cove to Calvert Island - Hakai. This once busy, high end resort is now run by the Hakai Institute with over 100 staff and double that in students. They study everything to do with the ocean and have some archeology mixed in. We requested a tour and were greeted by the owner, Christina, who was very patient with our many questions. It made me want to go to school to learn about anything marine. What a great place.

We crossed over to the famous west beach and spent an hour or so playing with Ruby and walking the beach. The pictures tell how beautiful it is!
