Glorious Sunsets/Sunrises in our new anchorage |
With Fishing still on the mind, we stayed a full 5 days in Farewell Harbour in various spots surrounding this exposed bay. Well, if the truth be known, we couldn't get a good set on our anchor and there were too many large boats in this bay already that had our anchor let go, it would have been 1-800 Carson (we have an insurance claim!)

Note the colour of the Water - this is little bay is just inside
from Blackfish Sound

Luckily, we found a great spot around the corner from Farewell which was still close enough for Mike to get out Fishing and afforded us some privacy from the 20+ boats anchored in Farewell. We spent 2 nights in here and then found a little nook just inside the entrance to Whitepass Passage (I think that's the name :). We find that when there is kelp, not too many people chance dropping an anchor, but we managed to find a bit of a spot with no kelp (saves on the generator impellers!)

View in the early evening with "Disney Wonder" |
We opted to move here after Mike came back to let Betty know that he had seen
a pod of orca, jumping straight out the water all morning....... well that was it, at least in our new spot, I could look out into Blackfish Sound and see any whale activity, that is if the fog wasn't so thick until noon! It was a great stop and we would go back to both of these spots again.
