July 15th – Santa Ana Bay to Thorne Bay

Santa Ana Bay was an average bay stop. It would be a good Anchorage if it was windy in Douglas Channel. A small lagoon in the back is accessible at high tide. There are two boats anchored in there, one is the boat we have seen at Juneau, Wrangell, Petersberg….called “IMB”, the other boat is a couple from Lund, BC who have two very high strung dogs on board with Bear bells on their collars that would frighten even the largest of bears. A two hour run over to Thorne Bay today.
